Blake Virtual Reality

Last week the people from Blake Education came to visit our school and they gave us a lesson about saving our oceans. They brought a whole lot of Virtual Reality headsets with them and we all got to wear one. It was just like you really were under the water. We saw whales, dolphins, seals and stingrays. We saw beautiful, clean, clear water filled with colourful fish and sea plants. We also saw cloudy, dirty water and bare rocks where nothing could survive. This is a follow-up activity that Miss Fletcher designed for us.

Asking questions in Te Reo.

We have been learning how to ask questions in Te Reo. The question was :

E aha ana koe? This means: What are you doing?

Then we had to be able to answer that question several times using different Te Reo verbs.

Here is my work.

Recoeding cicada

Hi, my name's Brody and me and my friend Daniel (check out his blog,  it's bad ,trust me), we made something called  recoding a cicada's lifecycle. I was the original owner of it but I made Daniel the owner because he did lots of the work. I hope you  like it  because if you don't, Daniel will cry!

Chocolate

This writing task was about a language experience. Our teachers brought different kinds of chocolate to school and we got to eat it! We tried white chocolate, milk chocolate, dark chocolate, caramel chocolate and pink chocolate. We could write about it in any way we liked but our teachers hoped we would use lots of describing language and our senses.

Reading week ten term one 2021

This week for reading we read an extract from Charlie and the chocolate factory. It described Willie Wonka. Then we had to answer some questions and find the language in the extract which described his face. Here is my work.
