Maths 3D Clock Week 10 Term 3

Yesterday, for maths we had to read a step by step procedure for making a 3D clock. It was very tricky. We had to measure in centimetres to make equilateral triangles, measure the angles with a protractor to check they were 60 degrees, make a clock face and arrows and tie it all together with string. I was glad when I finished. The clock hands were the hardest part. Here is a picture of my clock.

Play, Make, Create Week 9 Term 3 2021

On Friday, we did Play Make Create. This is where the teacher reads you a story and you discuss the message in the story. Then you create something based on the message and also do a piece of writing. You can use materials or make a digital creation.  This week Mrs Craig Read the book: Wombat Stew. It was about a dingo who caught a wombat and tried to make wombat stew. But, it didn’t work….

I chose to make a safe way to trap a wombat and we also made a procedure about how to make wombat stew. Here is my work:

Writing Week 5 Term 3 2021 My Metamorphosis

Yet another thing we did for writing this week was to imagine that we had undergone metamorphosis.

We had to pretend we had woken up one morning and discovered we had changed. It would be like going to sleep as a caterpillar and waking up as a butterfly. We had to write about what our new body was like and what we could do. I chose to : Be a Skullcrawler and an indomuniss rex.

Here is my work.

Week nine recount about the weekends

Last week which was week nine we did a recount about something we did during the weekend or during week eight. I chose to write about my weekend and did a recount about playing ********* I couldn't blare it out so that's why I did that. Here is my work

Probably my worst Minecraft

experience.

Wow I haven’t done anything exciting except play Minecraft and if you do want to hear about it  I'm pretty sure I'm not allowed to write about it but if I am here it is.

Mines

It was Sunday afternoon and my mum loaded up Minecraft. Once we were in the world we started to mine but this time I didn’t get pushed into lava by water. While we were in the mines I found an axolotl and took it up to the surface.

Axolotl

Once we were back on the surface we decided to make a tank in our river. My mum dug up sand and I was fighting monsters and animals for food. But the monsters that attacked us the most were drowns (their zombies that drowned) . They can spawn with tridents and can drop whatever they’re holding.

Building the cage

It took a few days and we used like three stacks of sand for the glass. We had to keep going back for sand and back and forth for glass. Minecraft days are ten minutes which took almost an hour. Once we finished we went to get buckets of fish for food for my axolotl. He's cute when he’s swimming around eating the fish.

Conclusion

We got killed a lot in this process. The drowns with the tridents are one of the most dangerous water creatures.

Chocolate

This writing task was about a language experience. Our teachers brought different kinds of chocolate to school and we got to eat it! We tried white chocolate, milk chocolate, dark chocolate, caramel chocolate and pink chocolate. We could write about it in any way we liked but our teachers hoped we would use lots of describing language and our senses.

for the end of each line and finish the last line with an onomatopoeia word repeated 3 times. Here is

Writing Week 7 Environmental Writing ‘The old church’.

One of our writing activities this week was to write about the old church next to our school using lots of adjectives, adverbs and other kinds of descriptive language. First we all went over to the church to look at the outside of it and use our senses to notice all the building’s colours, textures and shapes. Here is my work.

Today we went to the old church next to my school.

I wrote some words about it. Here are my words:

Hole above the door, has a bell, new inside,

Skinny windows, rust, moss, lonely, Deserted,

steeple, probably older than my nana’s husband,

twisted trees, pointy roof. We looked around the back

and front and the sides and looked in the keyholes and

saw stuff. I also sketched a picture.
