Reading week ten term one 2021

This week for reading we read an extract from Charlie and the chocolate factory. It described Willie Wonka. Then we had to answer some questions and find the language in the extract which described his face. Here is my work.

  1. This was really tough, wasn't it? It is hard when you have to look at a piece of writing closely and ignore some stuff and find what you need. It's a bit like looking for treasure in a trash heap. You did a good job! Can you edit this post though, so that the long sentence above does not shoot off the page.

  2. I'm glad you included the adverbs which go with the adjective 'bright'. They work like a team, don't they? It would seem wrong to split them up.
Remember how we talked about how adverbs answer questions? Your brain could have a conversation with itself about these words and it might go something like this: Well, what are Mr Wonka's eyes like?
    They are bright.
    Okay, how bright are they?
    Well, they are marvellously bright!
Oh! And HOW marvellously bright are they?
    They are MOST marvellously bright.
